Encourage Live Tweeting during the event and don't forget to encourage photos. If you have a projector and laptop available, you may want to stream the Twitter Feed during the event. If your organization has a robust Facebook presence, you can also use a Facebook Event to promote the event. Be creative. Keep in touch.

Worst thing you can do with a page is dump an RSS feed into the Page - won't be as successful. The live video feed was being streamed from the Netsquared gathering in San Francisco happening at the same time as the virtual gatherng in Second Life. Both events had their share of clunkiness. that didn't last long or ruin the event.
