Using online polling apps to query audiences and share aggregate results in real-time can be a useful tool to add to workshops, webinars, and conference sessions. Jennifer made use of an app called “ Answer Qwik ” that allows participants to answer polling questions on their mobile phones and have the aggregate results shown on the screen.

Until August 25th they are conducting a final poll (at the top of this post) to determine which global health issue to focus on. BlogHer (where I am a Contributing Editor) launched a year-long campaign, BlogHers Act, at their 2007 conference this summer. During BlogHers Act, BlogHers will work to make a measurable improvement in "global health" issues. BlogHers Act will take a two-pronged approach to make a positive change in global health issues.

New Poll Offers Insights on Driving Political and Policy Conversations

Our friends at Lincoln Park Strategies [[link] recently released a poll with Third Way looking at the mindset of people who voted Democratic in 2008 but stayed home for the 2010 elections ("Droppers") and those who voted Democratic in 2008 but voted Republican in 2010 ("Switchers"). The poll found that Droppers will come home to Democrats in 2012 - they're planning to vote for the President and for Congressional Democrats.
