While close to 70% of US college students say that they don’t consider themselves to be politically engaged or politically active, 1/3 say online tools such as Facebook, YouTube, blogs and Twitter have greater impact than face to face advocacy, according to recent studies by Knowledge Networks on behalf of Harvard University's Institute of Politics. 16% said it made less of an impact.
