TL;DR A lot of really shitty people hate museums and hate that museums would even attempt social justice therefore museums are okay, maybe. It is well documented that most jobs in museums pay poorly. Gainful, full time museum employment is also notoriously difficult and competitive.

When the Museum closed I was expecting the next few weeks to be different. I set up digital lunches.

Susan Spero brought up the cost tuition rises had to the field: The rise in tuition which in turn has meant that museum studies programs have taken a huge hit.
