When I read that Google was donating $600,000 to provide free Wi-Fi in San Francisco parks, my first thought was, "Wow, it's going to be hard to get a signal at Dolores Park on a sunny day." Google's monetary gift to the city is a step forward. Google's proposed Wi-Fi hotspots using Google Maps (very meta).
