All communications were strictly limited to my blog, Twitter and Facebook. Two donors were former colleagues who also have Twitter accounts. Kicking off the effort was paired with an e-mail to a list of about 30 classical music bloggers. I counted most on Twitter followers to spread the word. Definitely.

That said, it is best to assume that your community isn’t hip to every trick you’ve found for Facebook, Twitter, and any other site you may use. But operating and communicating as if every commenter is a troll will shut down conversation very quickly. on social media platforms like Facebook each day. This is a big one.

When I first started myspace.com/nonprofitorganizations almost 4 years ago I had no idea that it would evolve to become as large as it has, or that the brand/community/concept would spread to Facebook , then YouTube , and now Twitter. I was able then to tap into that community when I expanded into Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
