If you design interactives for kids, adults recognize that the experience is not for them, and they don't engage. There are many participatory experiences that appeal primarily to adults, and they are designed distinctly for adults. People of all ages are sensitive to the messages that design sends. In the fall of 2013, they launched Re:Make , an ambitious project to redevelop the museum, live, on the floor, with a mix of staff, guest artists, and community members.
