I think this model may become more prevalent, as organizations are not going to comfortable letting vendors store their data, but will want to take advantage of RIAs like Gliffy or Google Docs. Facebook has quite the motivation to keep people on Facebook, and keep the eyeballs there, because of their revenue model, which is ad-based. This breaks the whole thing open. Hopefully, eventually, they can write their apps just once. I’m not so clear about how this helps users. Be Helpful.
