What I wanted was a better way to do shared comment reviews from Acrobat desktop software. Instead of maintaining a separate WebDAV server account as we had been doing, we could use Acrobat.com to store the comment layer of the PDF files I distribute for staff review. When it works, it’s fine. Not for me.

After playing with all the options, I ultimately decided to export the files to HTML, upload online via FTP and serve in a Salesforce custom web tab aptly named "How Do I?" They have a hosted version , but at a minimum of $20/month it's more than I want to spend now compared to a one-time software license purchase.

It has shortcuts for all of your servers, has nice drag and drop for moving files around, allows you to do all sorts of remote actions on files, etc. It handles FTP, SFTP and FTP over SSL/TLS. I use it all the time, and I really like it. I do think that it’s probably the best GUI FOSS ftp client for Linux there is. Be Helpful.

I love it because it’s really easy to set up and back up (it’s all files, not in a database,) and it’s has draft autosaves (yay!). I didn’t get so far into coding the markup, but I had decided that I’d follow MediaWiki’s syntax, since it was the most popular wiki software. Updating it to Creole 1.0

Choosing a theme Migrate the posts and comments (exporting it from typepad, importing into wordpress – all web gui based, very easy. All importing requires now is just going to the Wordpress import tool and specifying the file. I’d recommend it to anyone. Modifying a few things (see this link.) There are a few changes.
