One of the comments listed other, non-web-based collaborative uses of short-format content, including potluck dinners. As a consummate potlucker, this comment immediately resonated with me. Potlucks are a great model for “good sharing.” This is the MySpace model. This is the potluck model. Social connectiveness?

One of the things that fascinates me about comment boards is the extent to which design impacts visitor contributions. It's not surprising that design impacts behavior, but many people want proof that visitors are capable of more than writing "I was here" in a comment book. Most museum prototyping does not follow an A/B model.
