Millennials are the largest generation in the U.S. The oldest of the Millennial Generation are in their mid-careers, and as this generation become more secure in their careers and have more disposable income, nonprofits need to understand how they relate to causes to better capture their resources.

The 2020 Global Trends in Giving Survey closed June 1 and the full results will be released September 14 in the third edition of the Global Trends in Giving Report. 41% were Baby Boomers, 24% Millennials, 22% Gen X, 11% Matures, and 2% Gen Z. It’s worth noting that 68% of the COVID-19 donors were female, 31% male.
