The Chronicle of Philanthropy and Fast Company reported the following statistics from the report: 40% of those surveyed in the study researched nonprofits on their phones. 20% of donors are more likely to be persuaded to give through online resources, as compared to direct mail. 25% of respondents made a donation via a mobile device.

While someone traveling to the future from the 1950s might be disappointed to realize we don’t send mail by rocket or have flying houses , what I am sure they’d be impressed by is the degree of social impact we’ve driven as a collective society and the steps we’re taking to continue to evolve. 55% reported often feeling unappreciated.

Happiness is a better indicator of philanthropy than wealth is. Philanthropy is less dependent on the size of the bank account than on matters of the heart. And we shouldn't be surprised. The Charity Aid Foundation , based in the UK, reported this finding in their first-ever study, called the World Giving Index.
