Florida Immigrant Coalition. The Florida Immigrant coalition is part of an alliance of 62 member organizations. There are nearly 800,000 people protected under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). DACA paved the way for these children of immigrants to obtain work authorization and relief from deportation, enabling them to go on to universities and build careers and families. With the announcement of DACA’s repeal, the program has stopped accepting new applications.
