Inside these walls, 28 women have found the courage to start school to prepare themselves for the future and change their lives so they never have to go back to their abuser. However, take one little step outside of our warm and fuzzy community into the larger technology community, and things change. The exceptions to this in my experience have been very, very few and far between. Unfortunately, the open source community seems to find ways to ridicule, degrade and and belittle women quite often.

What's the "use" of visitors' comments? I was reminded of these two design principles when exploring the Johnny Cash Project , a crowd-created music video for a posthumous recording of Cash singing "Ain't No Grave." The result is a video that changes dynamically based on what people contribute and rank on the site.
