I spent 3 hours struggling with the Nvidia drivers (that’s the on-board video that my motherboard has) and my xorg configurations still don’t work. (X No happiness for me. And it’s hard.

What we DID know is that the people coming would be connected through work that focuses on sharing intense and not always comfortable emotions online. I feared that the event would feel cliquey and wouldn't represent the creative, inclusive spirit of Ze's work. Online to onsite migration isn't always easy.

I met lovely people in engineering, but I found the work to be too detail-oriented and microscopic in scope to satisfy me. There's not a lot of work in pinball, and I had a deep secondary interest in unschooling and free-choice learning. I also learned that the best money in museums for someone who's starting out is in art modeling.
