Mary Meeker of the of the Silicon Valley venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, does a yearly report on current state of the Internet and IT at about half way through the year. Here's what I found: Internet growth: 2.6 billion people are now using the Internet worldwide, 618 million of them are in China.
