It got me thinking about managing multiples: multiple twitter accounts, multiple people tweeting from one account, and how do you tweet a network of affiliates or a movement. Her post places an emphasis in looking at SL as simply virtuality (read this too) not social networking - as did Clay Shirky. To me, SL has the potential to replace all of those social networks with personal 3D spaces, all linked via a pseudo-metaverse. SL has the potential to add a new level to the existing web technologies.

Deregulation has produced monopolistic practices that have resulted in higher prices for consumers and slowed the deployment of competitive networks. We should look to other models. This $7 billion-a-year program promotes universal phone service by subsidizing phone networks. Bad policy decisions should be reversed.
