Two weeks ago, Roberto Bedoya asked several arts bloggers, including me, to write a post reflecting on Whiteness and its implications for the arts. I am in no way an expert in issues related to racial and ethnic representation in the arts. I never saw comparable adjectives used in the European art labels at the museum.

She says that the museum made changes in hiring and board recruitment practices, and invited the community in to help reshape the facility into a place that reflected and represented its people and their interests. Women Center Stage has launched women artists' work like Iris Bahr, who wrote and performed " Dai " at the festival, and is now performing her piece on Culture Project's main stage, and Staceyann Chin , who did a workshop of, "Border/Clash" as part of the Women Center Stage festival, and went on to produce fuller productions of the piece.
