I conduct a survey that collects information that I can analyze against a maturity of practice model I’ve created called “ Crawl, Walk, Run, Fly.. So, I was able to get folks to self-assess where they were on the on the model and then group themselves in the room. Ellie taught a great trick. Movement can really help.

When your mission is effecting positive change it’s sometimes easy to overlook that at its heart a nonprofit is still a business model, with all the same ways of failing. Study good grant writing techniques and apply what you learn to as many as you can. Make sure there is a trial run with a review at the three month mark.
