Eliminate, or clarify, any jargon or Official Language that may be opaque to readers. This doesn’t mean you need to turn your copy into a Wikipedia article. Some other things to listen for or look for: Repetitive language. Wonky language and jargon. Read that last sentence again, either aloud or with a close eye.
