Basically, Facebook and other social networking apps have a strong incentive to prevent people from leaving by providing them better and better toolsets over time. Only two proprietary CMS systems, Antharia’s and Ektron, had scores as good as the open source CMS.The CMS options from the big three (er, now the big two) didn’t score as well. The alternative would be to use 1.1 I mean, sure, it’s generated code. Sure, it’s cake 1.2x (which never seems to get out of RC) but well. which is stable but has stuff like ‘you’re limited to one validator per model.’ ’ More than a rant (although this is a rant) this is intended as mini-cautionary tale.

Yes it is so much better than twitter but all tech platforms have problems and as it grows in popularity there will be more. Ghost : Many folks who have moved off Substack have gone to Ghost which is an open-source platform with similar functionality. No outside platform is an oasis. The podcast and books are also great.
