I was at an informal talk by a visitor research professional from a large American art museum. My eyes locked on that phrase on her slide, "protecting loyal patrons." When the MAH was changing aggressively, we embraced Elaine Heumann Gurian's idea of "the museum of and." I couldn't let it pass. We bring them together.

You run a regional museum. This is the plan that plunged the Berkshire Museum into hot water. In July, the Berkshire Museum released its $60,000,000 New Vision , along with a funding mechanism: selling 40 of its most valuable artworks. It states that museums can only sell objects to purchase or care for other objects.

According to PC World , Yahoo will shut down several of its Web properties, including Delicious, according to a leaked Yahoo presentation slide that was posted on Twitter. I queried my friends on Twitter and my library, museum, archivist, and educator colleagues suggested Diigo. I was hoping this was just a rumor.
