Reflections on community at SxSW. But beyond all of the hype and noise, the most dominant theme I keep coming back to is that community is and always will be King. Even if you have the most awesome web site, campaign, or cause out there, you need a thoughtful and dedicated community behind it in order for it to be successful.

Organizing a community and serving it well has a lot of dimensions poorly reflected in webstats alone.

People donate to a shared cause in honor of that for which they are most grateful Funds raised will go to support the work of Mama Lucy Kampton ( @MamaLucy ), a ChangeMaker who has transformed her community in Arusha, Tanzania through her school Shepherd’s Junior. Last year, funds from TweetsGiving helped build a classroom in Tanzania.
