You don't have to translate your whole site, but be strategic about what content mobile browsers want, and what you want mobile browsers to see. I’d also like to see nonprofits master the art of writing.

However, take one little step outside of our warm and fuzzy community into the larger technology community, and things change. The exceptions to this in my experience have been very, very few and far between. Unfortunately, the open source community seems to find ways to ridicule, degrade and and belittle women quite often.
