It is, in short, the best multimedia history project I've ever seen, and I wish more museums were pursuing projects like it.

We just opened new exhibitions at The Museum of Art & History , including one on woodworking that includes QR codes. When a person with a smartphone and a QR reader app scans one of these codes, it can launch a webpage on the phone, pulling up videos, images, and other additional multi-media content.

It was fascinating to see people--across social differences--responding to representations of love in the paintings, images, objects and narratives that were part of the installation. Elsewhere on the second floor, there are two small activities that explicitly tie the love show to our history collection: Love Map. A DIY wedding!

I don’t know if you have seen the yahoo time capsule —this is a project of everyday archeology—people could submit all kinds of electronic information (images, text, sounds, video) to be included in a digital time capsule.
