I think one of the things that is missing from cities are policies that support the creation of an environment for a company to thrive and to grow. I think that government really should facilitate an environment that nurtures business development, and then get out of the way. It's a big challenge. A lot of people have great ideas.

A blog was really perfect for me, because first of all, it was a very casual voice -- it's not very formal. You don't want to write about everything, because then people won't find you in the same way as when they search on Google about "homelessness issues", or "the environment."
