One of our first programs is our culinary school in Port-Au-Prince, which helps train aspiring chefs from Haiti and give them the skills they need to obtain jobs in Haiti’s growing tourism industry. It was from that experience that World Central Kitchen was born.

On one level, Off the Mat, Into the World is bridging the yogis and activism through training programs. We had over 2500 donors all together who participated in raising this $500,000. We talk about how to do consensus training in groups. They came to me with the, "now what." It was very sustainable for everyone involved.
