Last year when Myspace announced that it would be launching a redesign, I was very intrigued. Even more so when they released a video last September teasing what the new Myspace would look like. For months I was anxious, excited even, for the new Myspace to launch. To me, this a colossal, baffling mistake on the part of Myspace.

Nonprofit Tech for Good launched in 2005 as a Myspace page and in the 18 years since we’ve been through multiple early adoption phases of new social media — first Facebook and Twitter and then on to LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and Tumblr. Instagram Fundraising Tools are not available on Threads.

What was the very first social media tool your organization utilized, and when? The first social networking tool the organization utilized was MySpace is 2007. What social media tools are you currently utilizing? Which tool has been surprisingly useful in getting out the word about your organization and its programs?

Facebook would do well to follow the lead of Twitter, MySpace and YouTube. years now, and in comparison to Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace and YouTube, the Facebook Page tool set is pretty limited. Facebook wants the tool set to be limited. This is a new policy development. I don’t think so.

and Canada can utilize Causes’ fundraising tools. There are some amazing nonprofits at the grassroots working miracles daily with relatively small amounts of cash, but unfortunately, since no international database of verified nonprofits exists, these nonprofits are consistently unable to utilize most online fundraising tools.
