Stacey Marie Garcia came to the MAH first as a graduate intern in the summer of 2011. The program is an experimental playground that bridges artists, students, chefs, comedians, hairdressers, bartenders, dancers, wrestlers and even tattoo artists to produce a community-led event.

In 2011, YouTube started letting people post their videos with Creative Commons licenses. The easiest way to find Creative Commons licensed YouTube videos is through the Creative Commons Search Tool. It was originally founded as a place for film artists to share and promote their work, so it encourages quality commenting.

Our museum is highly participatory: plenty of opportunities for visitors to contribute, for artists to collaborate, for community members to co-create. Now, I look back on the book and the biggest thing I see missing are the people inside that box.
