Ultimately, what The Tech Virtual community contributed was great ideas for exhibits. One exhibit designer told me, "we never seem to lack for good ideas. If good ideas are easy to come by, why not let other people contribute them and focus our time on the hard work of execution? Some museum pros have been puzzled by this.
