The high Internet growth countries are now India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Mexico, and Philippines. The user base for laptops is 789 million, and an additional 743 million for desktop computers. Here's what I found: Internet growth: 2.6 billion people are now using the Internet worldwide, 618 million of them are in China.

One of the best memories of Isaac was standing in the Schatzalp hotel holding a laptop to his ear like it was a cell phone, because someone had made a Skype connection to Nigeria. China and India were big topics of this Forum. Plus, India threw one heck of a party on Saturday night, with Hindi pop singers. We ate fondue.

The robust smartphones of the near future will likely use a combination of mobile apps and cloud apps and because we'll dock them so much with our laptops, we'll begin using those types of applications much more on our computers as well. The near future is looking to be even more mobile with more fully integrated technologies.
