This makes me more comfortable for me to open my laptop and take notes. Eugene Eric Kim is an expert in online culture and collaboration, particularly with new tools. Some takeaways about emergent collaboration: Having a shared goal can really catalyzed the group, without it you get interesting random behavior.

My slides are above and my reflections are below. The week is built in partnership with over 35 collaborators. The conference had fast and reliable wifi and many had their laptops opened and were tweeting before the conference started – so I encouraged using Twitter as a back channel. Room Layout is Important.

The project is being managed by IIE and builds on a highly successful program launched in the Middle East five years ago, Women in Technology that trained over 10,000 women from 9 countries in the Middle East and in collaboration with over 60 training partners.
