Use Social Media to Boost Success for Events and Conferences


Social networking can particularly enhance member engagement, especially for associations that anchor their member activities in conferences or trade shows. For many associations, about 20% of their members are active in the sense of attending conferences and trade shows. The organization offers its members several options for learning about its annual Build Business conference. For members that prefer email, they can opt into inbox alerts about conference news and speakers.

2011 NTC Preview: Let's Talk About Tech, Baby


In that scenario, nonprofit workers feel like technology is something they have to deal with to do the "real work," not something that can make their work lives and their organization better at meeting its mission (which is what NTEN believes, so strongly they wrote a book about it ).
