Flickr Photo Birthday Remix Contest. I set up a flickr group, uploaded some instructions and some photos from the past half-century, and invited people to celebrate. Ultimately, 22 remix photos were posted, slightly less than half of the people who joined. As many of you know, I celebrated a milestone birthday this month.

While the drawing tools could be more intuitive, remixing a reference image is likely less scary for non-artists than other more involved ways to produce a frame. These videos inspire and instruct would-be participants while stroking the egos of past contributors. You can also watch time lapse video of any frame being created.

It's a place for Scratch users to upload, share, and remix their Scratch projects. You can also remix other projects. Everyone is instructed not to create usernames identical to their real names. It was a serious improvement on tools like Logo Turtle and Hypercard that I grew up with. but still, a programming environment.
