In February 19th, Joel Comm has organized an event called " Tweetathon " on Twitter to promote and sell copies of his new book, Twitter Power: How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time and help a nonprofit that supports children in Africa, China, and India. If people are already on Facebook, have gone to your Causes donation page, become a "member" to your Cause, and still havent donated - they arent going to, no matter how many times you message them. How did they do it?

Yes, NGOs can and should be raising more $ online (and here in Greenpeace China we are doing just that) but I have yet to see strong data that supports us shutting off the DM facet just yet. And, the profile of the donors you get from DM is not the same as face-to-face and/or online so its prudent that we diversify our donor pool over time.
