I track two hard data points: RSS subscriber growth over time as well as the feed delivery stats (email versus reader). But the exchange prompted some reflection on how I use Feedburner.

Use Google Analytics (GA) to see things like how many unique visitors you’re getting, what content is being viewed the most, what keywords or phrases people are using to find you and where people are coming from when finding you. This is only a glimpse into what you can do with analytics. You get more statistics for analysis!

Ah, my screencast script on google analytics completely ignores social media and only focuses on web sites. Word Press users can use General Stats plugin. Cost (what!).

" That's a hard question for me to answer because as Kaushik notes and all of us bloggers know all too well -- many analytics programs do not track RSS feeds.
