Jim walked out of there with four refurbished laptops preloaded with Windows Multipoint Server and 16 NComputing thin clients. The laptop servers are far more energy efficient than desktop computers and each little five-watt NComputing thin client uses 90% less electricity than a laptop. Three refurbished i5 laptops.

The library ordered 60 Dell refurbished desktop computers from TechSoup's Refurbished Computer Initiative (RCI) to provide its patrons with Internet access.
