As Kathy McLean noted in Visitor Voices in Museum Exhibitions , while staff were afraid that typing on the typewriter would be too hard for some young children, "kids lined up to carefully and slowly type their letters."

They launched an annual fundraiser and gift-collecting drive for the children's hospital in their community (in WA). It was a huge success and it's now become an international drive , with toys and books going to children's hospitals all over. Free Books for Kids! The children are ages 6-16, and they're making huge strides by leading a national movement against child rape in Zimbabwe. It was about woman entrepreneurs who were sending their children to school with the money they earned, even though they were living themselves on a dollar a day. Celebrating Women was book number two.
