During the COVID-19 pandemic, Boys & Girls Clubs across the country adapted services to meet the evolving needs of the children, families, and communities they serve.

TechSoup and InterConnection , one of our Refurbished Computer Initiative partners, teamed up to supply a group of nonprofits and libraries with everything they would need to set up a MultiPoint Server lab in their environment. YMCA of Greater Seattle's Kirkland Teen program was one of our test sites. 10 users=15 hours/per week).

Can a child or teen volunteer with their parent’s permission? For example, if volunteers will be working with children, they should keep anything they learn about the child’s background confidential. An electronic version of the volunteer handbook on your website ensures volunteers can always access the information they need.

But to make these connections, people need access. But with the Internet now accessible from public libraries, cyber cafés and cell phones, getting online is easier than ever for nearly anyone. Imagine a typical Internet surfer and your first thought might be of a teen or young adult, not a grandparent or retiree.

Trying to engaged the teen-to-twenty-something who normally may not use the research library. My focus is on how children learn science. The goals include learning made personal, extension of experience onsite and online, and access for all learning and lifelong learning – underlying all of it is innovation in learning.
