I manage the general strategy and help cultivate ideas from our social media team. We’re all paid-employees, but we none of us do social media full-time. For my role, social media is only about 30% of my job – I manage our paid online advertising strategy, SEO, and web analytics strategy in addition to social media.

What social media tools are you currently utilizing? We currently use a plethora of online tools to spread the word and talk to people. For example, you may hold online raffles, silent auctions, and giveaways to keep your guests entertained after check-in. 5) Online classes. 3) Cooking classes.

And yet, for some reason (actually a lot of reasons) what we know about community isn’t always translating well to building community online. So we started writing the book, and the idea that kept popping up is the concept of Open Community. We would love you to share examples of any nonprofits doing this well!
