The example Russ and I discussed related to the use of a wiki to capture organizational knowledge. He can poll users frequently to get them to send him any material that would be apporpriate for inclusion. Tags: nptech socialmedia training. This barrier can be reduced by "priming the pump."

House Network : Bite off the whole enchilada an socially-enable your site fully by supporting visitor profiles, friending, activity feeds, discussion, ratings and reviews, etc. Turn on commenting to stimulate group dialog around your posts. .

Discovering that a topic has been discussed online isn't difficult, but in the business world these discussions happen often enough that the real-time search has to be combined with rapid text, sentiment or conceptual analysis. There would be no reason for Google to poll websites for changes over and over again.
