One of my blog readers, Sarah Mowry, Outreach Director for the Deschutes Land Trust pointed me to Nature Conservancy’s Instagram contest , an image scavenger hunt. How much good will is generated by those contributed and by the winners of the contest whose works will be posted on the Nature Conservancy’s FB and Tumblr.

The Nature Conservancy has used Flickr Group to host a photo contest on its Web site. Here's an interview with Nature Conservancy staff members Evan Parker and Susan Citro about how the organization is using Flickr. Why did your decide to set up a group on Flickr? Keep them engaged. Any gotchas?

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of speaking with Vikki Spruill, Ocean Conservancy 's President and CEO and members of her communications team, Laura Burton Capps, and Dove Coggeshall about their recent experiments and learning on Facebook. Facebook was an uncharted territory for the Ocean Conservancy.
