With estimates up to 200 million members globally and 12% of all internet traffic, MySpace certainly earns the title of the "top dog" of social networks. Within MySpace, we searched the names of 383 of the largest, most well-known nonprofits to see if they had created profiles. And is it even worth it ?

They even created a Facebook application. We started slowly with the MySpace page , and we started in earnest with Flickr. MySpace is, but Facebook isn’t. We get so much spam on MySpace, whereas on Flickr and Facebook and the blog we never get spam. That’s why we’re not in Second Life. #1,

Both HSUS and Oxfam’s primary efforts are on what Carie calls “the big four”: MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr. On MySpace : Both Oxfam and HSUS prove what we already know from Greenpeace and others – MySpace is a great place to get new advocates. On Facebook : I think everyone agrees it’s very early.
