The first two books, The Network Nonprofit and Measuring Networked Nonprofit provided college scholarships to two young Cambodian women, Savon Keo and Leng Tharath through the Sharing Foundation. I have two adopted children from Cambodia, and both these young women lived in the same orphanage as my daughter.

In a couple of days, video bloggers Jay Dedman and Ryanne Hodson will be in Cambodia doing some work with Project Hope International to help them document the work they're doing to rehabilitate people involved in human trafficking. We were both excited by the possibility, but acknowledged the challenges -- for example, no electricity.

The America's Giving Challenge will award $50,000 to the project that gets the most unique donors. I can't do this alone and that's why I'm asking my blogger friends to join me and in helping to raise money to help the many children who are touched by the Sharing Foundation's programs. She earns a monthly wage working for the sewing school and shop, a vocational program run by the Foundation that trains young women so they can earn a sustainable living wage. Sina helps makes school uniforms that the Foundation provides to over 1,000 street children in Cambodia. Chheng Srey Mom, 16, has completed grade 8.

Cambodian youngster in the Sharing Foundation 's Education program practices her alphabet. In Roteang Village, where the Sharing Foundation has programs that help over 1,500 children each and every day, there was a birthday bash at the orphanage for the 70 plus children.

My friend Beth Kanter, of Beth's Blog , is working hard to win $50,000 for the Sharing Foundation by January 31, 2008 as part of the Case Foundation's America's Giving Challenge. Beth is on the Board of the Foundation, and she and her husband have two children, Harry and Sara, who were adopted as orphans from Cambodia.
