I’ve had a lot of experience with online contests, both as a participant (winner) and working two reflection papers for the Case Foundation ‘s America’s Giving Challenge. They organize supporters, raise attention to important social and political issues, seek donations, and organize supporters to walk, run, shout, protest, and vote, things that were once done mostly by nonprofit organizations. Online contests that award dollars to nonprofit causes are here to stay. Trust me.
