The way that World of Good has really gone about this is, we have done it in a two-part model. So the pricing models are all based on commodity pricing. In handmade items, you don't have that same kind of model; you don't buy and sell a bushel of embroidered skirts. It doesn't work that way.

But overall, I found his approach effective and strongly preferable to the common alternative--an anthology of case studies devoid of connections or overriding conclusions. Part of me wonders whether the organization was actually built to "sustain" anything (it may have been a deliberately unsustainable business model).
