I got a press release today from a PR firm promoting its client's plans to raise $1,000 for Thanksgiving meals and $5,000 for families in need at Christmas. First, the message is spam. Tags: Fundraising. While these are certainly laudable goals, I had a strong negative reaction. Second, is this news?

Net Tuesday Seattle has been in the local press too! Yikes, the first ever tag spam I've seen in the NpTech Tag Stream! Then, I remembered the phrase flowed through the NPtech tag stream about six months as a reference to interface design.) Some really cool events flowing through the NpTech Tag Stream!

As far as ads and Spam, that just a part of MySpace and the price to pay for having a social networking site with very little rules or censorship. As the first social networking website used by the masses, MySpace carried the brunt of bad press. Tags: MySpace Uncategorized. MySpace is not dangerous.

At first, I thought it was comment spam promoting a porno site but far from it. Tell me about your experience with tagging. Why do you tag? What are the values of tagging for you and your audience?

Doug mentioned attending the NTC/NTEN conference in New Orleans and had RSS and Tagging ringing in his ears. We moderate comments because of spam and word press has a good tool for spam, but you need to moderate.
