NTEN gives out its own community awards every year that recognize Members who have offered their time, talents, and wisdom to help NTEN staff and community members, and thank them for their amazing contributions to the nonprofit technology sector.

Submit Your Video to the Do-Gooder Video Awards!


The DoGooder Awards are here! The DoGooder Video Awards are taking submissions starting March 4, 2013. In fact, last year's DoGooder Awards had 1,200 entries from over 600 participants, and nonprofit participants saw a surge of views on YouTube. But the awards are much more than a contest. 2011 NTEN LIfetime Achievement Award: Judy Hallman


This year, we are thrilled to honor Judy Hallman for her work with this award. The award was presented to Judy at the 2011 Nonprofit Technology Conference by her friend and colleague Paula Jones, Director of Technology and Administration for the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits, whose words I'd like to share here: The Lifetime Achievement Award is about the members of our community who have changed the way we do our work and that is why Judy Hallman is so deserving of this award.

The 2009 Nonprofit Video Awards


I have a confession to make: I'm rooting for some organization, any organization, to unseat the Humane Society of the United States as the winner of this year's Nonprofit Video Awards. No, the problem was, the video played at the 2008 NTC -- replete with images of animal abuse, including a long segment on the inhumane caging of chickens -- projected on a big screen, just as conference attendees tucked into their lunch -- of chicken breast.

NTC Community Call Recap


We were excited to have our first 2012 NTC Community Call last Tuesday! New to the NTC There will be a couple of new additions to the NTC schedule next year. It will be open to all attendees, but it will include member recognition and the Member Awards. We’ve also added a couple new session types for the 2012 NTC educational sessions. In order to be better budget for the conference, we’ll make 750 tickets available at the Early Bird rate for the 2012 NTC.

NTC Plenary Day 2: Tech is Everywhere and We’re All In Charge

Member Round Up: It's all good news!


Karamellzucker This week, NTEN members are giving and receiving discounted conference registration, accepting nominations for impressive games for change, and awarding grants for innovative media use. They are exhibiting at this year’s NTC Science Fair! March 23rd is the deadline to enter your social impact game in the 3rd annual Games for Change awards. Last year, challenge winners received an average of $294,000 in awards.
