There’s a huge interest at WIPO in helping developing countries get the assistance they need to help bring books to their people with disabilities.

Bring Me a Book is creating a "literacy ecosystem" via social media in Alameda and Santa Clara Counties. Students develop and run a business, gain confidence, academic support, and mentorship.

There are digital literacy trainings for women springing up in Bangladesh, Internet cafés for women opening doors in Argentina, and women leaders in Kenya prototyping mobile apps that send out alerts if a woman’s safety is threatened. In India, women bloggers are threatened on Twitter with “live-telecasted gang-rape and acid attacks.”
