By Amy Sample Ward, Membership Director, NTEN. Two or three years ago, you could have a conversation out in the open and have people organically join in. According to the Twibbon profile for TMWL, 667 users added the badge to their pictures. Epic Change is no different.

Sunday, August 29, 2010 Use New-Hire Employee Badges If you lead an organization that uses employee ID badges, considering using a different color or a special designation on the badges for newly hired employees for at least their first 30 days and ideally up to 60 days. Some people call this a "hello" culture. Don't Praise.

We took a sampling from all of the Causes to get a sense of what the potential is. There are currently about 8,000 Causes, and we sampled about 10% of them. Lots of zero dollar donations in that sample (555 out of the 774 we sampled). per user is eye opening. Is it a random sample? Crowd-sourcing.

I already anticipated this would happen based on my experience with my 5th campaign , so I had a Network For Good badge set up and waiting to go if people asked. I spent less time chasing after people who were not in my network who may have a lot of influence and asking them to blog, post on their Facebook profile or retweet.
